Street Sweep Spring 2010

About the Street Sweep

From Patricia Cermignano, Director of Communications, Student Government: Two years ago a tradition was started by Student Government, the Scranton Street Sweep. It was a way for the students of our university to take ownership of our Hill Section; a way to better include that area of our community in campus life by making a positive impact on it.

With that said, I want to officially announce to you all the date of this semester’s Scranton Street Sweep. It will be held on Saturday, April the 17th at 1 PM beginning in the Claver Hall Parking Lot. More specific details will follow soon.

We need as many Scranton students as possible. The Hill Section is part of our community, and we are responsible for it. As club leaders, this could be a wonderful idea to use as a community service event. Please encourage your club to participate. Additionally, for the first time, the Scranton Alumni Chapter will be joining us in the Street Sweep for their alumni day of service.

Stop by the Student Government office located in the Student Forum or email me Patricia Cermignano the Director of Communications, at cermignanop2@scranton.edu, or Billy Pugh the Executive Treasurer, at pughw2@scranton.edu, with any questions or concerns you may have.
