Senator Mark Wehrenberg – Class of 2012

Mark A. Wehrenberg was elected to the Senate the Fall of his freshman year and has continuously played an active role in many projects. During his freshman year he became the Student Government Representative to the Sustainability Task Force and played an instrumental role in Scranton’s Earth Week events. As part of this committee he got water filtration system set up on the first floor of DeNaples for students to fill up water bottles. He initiated the ResNet Gaming Project, which allows students to register gaming devices such as X-Box 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii and play them online with their friends. This year Mark joined the Student Life and Dining Services Committee and helped get many dining improvements such as Sushi in the C-Store, the fruit bar in the cafeteria, and new meats at Zoca on the first floor. Mark is currently in the final stages of getting a DVD Now Movie Rental Kiosk on the first floor of DeNaples across from the ATM for students to easily rent movies on campus. Outside of Student Government Mark is in the Honors Program, Co-Chair of USPB Mission & Identity Committee, and CHEW’s Late Night at Scranton Team Leader.
