Senator Emily Diaz, Class of 2013
Hi, my name is Emily Diaz. I am nineteen years old, and I’m from a small town in New Jersey called Dover. My parents are from Colombia, and I am fluent in Spanish. I am currently still in the process of choosing a major. In high school, I ran for position of class president. After being elected, I came to the realization that I really enjoyed making decisions for my class and ultimately, representing my peers. I knew I wanted to continue working with the student body in high school, and so I ran for student government at the University of Scranton. I hope to make a positive impact to those surrounding me.
